for the perpetual kid in us all

"tattoos for the elderly" (BAhahaha...)

"equal measures" measuring cup ("next time you make brownies, use a tyrannosaur's brain of flour, or sugar equal to the water in a cumulus cloud the size of the bus")

"dress for dinner" napkin (for classy men everywhere)

fridge locker - "the personal snack-urity system" (for coworkers or terrible roommates)

"equalizer" t-shirt (actually responds to noise in the room... geektastic!!)

"world's largest gummy bear" (more gummy than any human should ever consume...)

"sandwich" coasters (i would play with these instead of using them...)

"effervescent cupcake drink tabs" (what the...??)

"i heart the office" stickers (i just want the marker smell ones)

"great ideas" napkin sketchbook (yes please!! :)

12 Days of Christmas

last saturday, i attended the Hobby Lobby Corporate Christmas party at the National Cowboy and Western Heritage museum. the food was AMAZING and it was tons of fun. the entertainment was entirely entertaining as well. Comprised of employees from Hobby Lobby's corporate office, the group Shaken Not Stirred performed their own rendition of Straight No Chaser's 12 Days of Christmas:

full sail ad fail

dear full sail "university":
you may want to consider a different advertising campaign to promote your online graphic design degrees. farting birds will get you nowhere. i prefer to release my creativity in more productive ways.

sincerely,

i dreamed a dream

"I dreamed a dream in time gone by
When hope was high and life worth living
I dreamed that love would never die
I dreamed that God would be forgiving

Then I was young and unafraid
And dreams were made and used and wasted
There was no ransom to be paid
No song unsung no wine untasted"

i so often feel ancient at the ripe old age of 24. i am young, but very afraid.

my dreams are often wasted because i'm too afraid to take the risks because risking means i may fail... it seems i'm still buying into the lie that failure is the end of the world. am i really willing to let opportunities pass me by just because i may fail?

am i already so jaded that i no longer believe that love can last? while my past hurts have a habit of creeping into focus at the most inopportune times, i refuse to let them govern me any longer.

i'm aiming to leave "no song unsung", so to speak... however, most wine can go untasted. i prefer Kopparberg pear cider. :)
